Television wasn’t a threat when I was a child. Television programs at that time were safe for children. Sinetron (soap opera) gave you good examples how to live with others. Sinetron like Serumpun Bambu and Rumah Masa Depan were about ordinary families’ problems – something which was also experienced by most families in Indonesia. What will people say when there are still many students who don’t pass the final examination? Some will say that the students are not clever enough.
